TOP 100 Award for Aurolia – MDR airs company feature
Aurolia Technologies ranks among Germany’s TOP 100 innovators.
As part of the prestigious TOP 100 innovation competition, Aurolia Technologies GmbH was recognized as one of the most innovative medium-sized companies of the year 2025. The award was presented at the German SME Summit held at the Rheingoldhalle in Mainz – handed over by science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, the long-standing mentor of the competition.

MDR covers the award with a company profile.
To mark the occasion of being named one of Germany’s TOP 100 innovators, Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) produced a dedicated TV feature on Aurolia Technologies. The report aired on June 27, 2025, on MDR Thüringen Journal, showcasing the company not only as an award winner but also as a forward-looking driver of innovation.
The film offers a personal and authentic insight into Aurolia’s way of working, illustrating how technological expertise and strong core values are transformed into market-ready solutions – and highlighting why Aurolia is considered a pioneer in modern surface technology. The report covers topics such as the team’s motivation, strategic focus, and the company’s vision of a sustainable, long-lasting product world.
The full feature is now available in the ARD media library.
On behalf of the entire team, Managing Director Martin Müller accepted the award together with Michelle Kaiser and Florian Heim. Aurolia was honored in particular for its achievements in the field of “Open Innovation” – the systematic integration of external input from research, customer requirements, and employee ideas into market-ready developments.
As a future-oriented company based in Meiningen, Aurolia relies on technological processes such as anodizing, hard anodizing, and electroless nickel plating, which extend the lifespan of components and help conserve resources. The company’s vision – “a world without friction and wear” – drives the entire team and has now been made visible to the public.
